About

Bad-Officiating.com is long overdue.

So much time, money and energy is invested in the production of big-time sporting events, that it is still shocking to see that shoddy officiating still plays a large part in game and contest outcomes. Some sports organizations have been proactive in the proper use of instant replay technology to get the call right while maintaining the pace of the game. But others have not, and they need to come together for the betterment of their prospective sports.

In the end, it is you and us, the fans, who pay. We pay for it with heartbreak and anger, wondering why such obvious injustices can endure. We are passionate and comitted to our teams, so why is it so hard to expect the same level of comittment from the leagues, conferences and associations who benefit from our loyalties? We can’t expect it because we are informed sports fans.

It is our hope that by exposing ineptitude in sports officiating, that the governing entities will take note and make the necessary changes to enhance the integrity of all sports.

Why is Bad-Officiating.com Important?

Most sports fans know this but it is worth reiteration: Big media who make a lot of money selling advertising against sporting event programming and the commentators and announcers that work for them rarely challenge their league partners publicy on the air. They can’t because it would be bad business. You’ll also notice that coaches rarely publicly criticise leagues and officiation because they get fined or fired or both. And of course the leagues will never publicly admit to their shortcomings, particularly on officiation issues, because referres and offcials are all part of powerful unions and their agreements with leagues protect them and their livelihood pretty nicely. BO has no affiliations and no axes to grind, only sports injustices to correct and we’re not afraid to call it like we see it.
