After watching Tiger Woods dispatch of yet another opponent playing in his group on Sunday, we learned that Woods’ grit wasn’t the only thing putting pressure on Padraig Harrington. Evidently, the twosome was placed on the clock on the 16th tee, the same hole where Harrington blew a one-shot lead by dunking his fourth shot into the water, ending a very entertaining battle between the two. I can see warning the players for slow play if they were holding up play, but these were two major title holders battling in the final group in scorching heat for the Championship. Watching Harrington implode on the 16th and give away the tournament was painful enough, but learning later that PGA officials put the two leaders in the final group on the clock on the 16th tee is downright comedic.
